Arizona distinguishes licenses by vehicle type and driver age. These are the main categories.

Class D: operator license

For people age 18 and older. It allows you to drive vehicles that don't require a commercial or motorcycle license.

Class G: graduated license

For drivers ages 16 and 17, with specific requirements and restrictions. An instruction permit may be issued from age 15 years and six months.

Class M and commercial licenses

Class M is for motorcycles. Classes A, B and C cover different commercial categories. These categories have their own processes. PALS doesn't offer preparation for these licenses.
